Community Initiative
- Rising Sun Ink began feeding the Inkster homeless population in 2017.
- Rising Sun Ink created a warming center for the homeless, domestic violence victims, and those
who needed emergency shelter during the winter months. - Rising Sun Ink hosted several stop the violence rallies and town hall meetings to address violence
in the community. - Rising Sun Ink hosted several fundraiser for Inkster families
- Rising Sun Ink consistently provided back to school supplies for the Inkster community.
- Rising Sun Ink hosted events throughout the year to create a safe space for the children ex. Trick
or Trunk, Mentor Me, etc. - Rising Sun Ink hosted a Health Fair for the Inkster Community which included several agencies.
- Rising Sun Ink hosted a Financial Literacy Course in money management.
- Rising Sun Ink hosted voter registration seminar.
- Rising Sun Ink provides baby formula and food.
- Rising Sun Ink provides clothing, shoes, and toiletry items.

Our Goals
- Continue to service the Inkster Community
- Partnership with the city of Inkster and other organizations within the community to create a safe space for the children, seniors, families, and end homelessness and poverty.
- To continue to provide re-entry and mentor services.
